The proposed new dwelling of 657sqm (7071sq ft), is designed in the Arts and Craft Voysey style proportions. Red brick, stone detail around windows and stone band at the first floor level.

The house will provide for a large extended family and domestic staff. The buildings are of two colours of brick with stone dressings, and a tiled roof. The main part of the house has three storeys, with a garage for two cars and staff accommodation above. All main reception rooms open onto the garden.

The main entrance leads to a central stair hall, inside which is a magnificent staircase rising through three storeys to a roof-light. There are three main reception rooms and a family dining/kitchen leading to formal dining room and drawing room.There is a large kitchen/family room and sunroom opening onto the garden. There is a small separate kitchen and utility room.

On the first floor are a spacious master bedroom and three additional bedrooms, with two further bedrooms in the attic.

The internal living spaces provide a contemporary living environment for a modern family with low energy use.

The elevation will be of traditional style with the main entrance at the center of the house. Dressing band courses and cills are of Portland stone, and windows of aluminum black. Door frames are designed and purpose made for the house, all painted a dark black gloss finish. The main door to the house will be painted charcoal with a glass panel.
